Prayers

Blank.

In our daily prayers, what do we normally pray for?

For help? for favours? for forgiveness? for more love to be filled in our hearts?

Saturday Night Thoughts

Do you believe that everything happens for a reason, and that everyone whom we meet is always for a reason? We may not know the reason now, but down the road, perhaps we could see the reason. Its like God sends us messages and signs, for us to listen and pick up, and do something.

Speaking of listening to Him, recently, Rae and i had a good time at the chapel with the Blessed Sacrament. Didn't realised they had adoration then and was lucky they had it and had a wonderful moment that night. It was as though the empty tank had been filled with His Love right after the silent moment with Him. Never realised how empty my tank was, until how light i felt after the prayer.

Today, fiance and i walked around PWTC for the living perfect expo. We want to renovate our future room. In 6 months time, we are moving in together! We took mostly brochures of timber flooring, and bathroom set.

Off to sleep now, am so sleepy today!

The Mesmerising Cheongsam

Its only 7 more months and we have got so much more to do before the Big Day. Guess its time to speed things up abit.

We both went looking for clothes for our pre-wedding photoshoot which is scheduled end of May. I bought a dress from Marry Merry warehouse sale over the weekend. I have another 2 more outfit to purchase. WW also started a hunt for his shoes and clothes.

I went looking for evening dress. Stopped by a bridal designer shop and tried on 3 of their gowns, one of which i like a lot. Its a cheongsam. I thought i would skip cheongsam as i wanted something more princess-like like ball gown dress, but after putting on the cheongsam, i think cheongsam looks better on me than a princess-like dress. Princess-like dress looks very weird on me somehow. Price wise, it cost more than what we paid for the photography and the white gown. Always thought that the evening gown would be cheaper than the white gown, and i wonder if its reasonable to get something so pricey for just 1 night and then it will just be kept in the cupboard for a long long time. At the most, it will be altered to a short dress which can be worn during Chinese New Year.

After that, we went to our appointment with a gown designer near by. We looked through some of the gowns designed for the previous clients, and then thought why not go for a cheongsam since i liked that so much. So the designer sketched a cheongsam similiar to the one i saw earlier, and it looks great! The quoted price is slightly cheaper than the one i tried on earlier. Its still more expensive than my white gown, though.

Should i go for it, or not? Its way beyond the budget which we have set, though.

Wedding Updates

Our wedding is on 11 October 2014.

8 more months!!!

It doesn't seem like we have much time left. Its coming too fast!

And where have we progressed? So far, we have only booked the venue. Oh no! So that's like, 5% done? or 1%? :(

Since the beginning of the year, we have been going around bridal houses, and went to the KL Wedding Expo.

We went to 8 bridal houses, including Marry Merry where i wanted to see if there are any suitable dinner dresses i could wear for the reception.

After looking through what they have, i didn't find one that didn't have to wear a bolero with and that is suitable for church.

So we checked out 4 other custom make gown shops. Went to That Special Occasion, White & Lacy, That White Dress and Pretty In White. Some of the gowns were really gorgeous, but not a 'YES'. I really hope i can say 'YES' to the dress when i find it.  hehe.

Today, i'll be visiting My Bridal Gown in Hartamas, as introduced by Joyce as her niece did hers there.

Hopefully, don't have to visit any other gown making shops and pick one out of these.

Karaoke and Meatballs

'Let's go Karaoke on Friday', he said.

Amused.

'How about Tuesday? Since i'm on leave'. I answered, still surprised, and amused.

'Hmm. Tuesday can.'

This little conversation came up abruptly last Sunday.

At least it gave me something to look forward to.

Throughout the 5 years, we have only gone for Karaoke three times, and only twice just the both of us.

So it was indeed a nice surprise to hear that he wanted to go Karaoke with me.

I hurried to finish up some work and then got ready for Karaoke. I couldn't miss it because of work.

After Karaoke, i suggested to go for dinner around the Curve where we were at.

'What do you feel like eating?', he asked.

'I don't know, let's go Ikea for dinner.' I answered.

'That's like not even 1 second before you answered that. Said you didn't know what to eat.'

*Smiled sheepishly*

Sometimes, craving comes in an appropriate time!

Actually, i just really like the environment in Ikea and have always wanted to have dinner there one day whenever when we were around Ikea but never had the chance, either that place is always too packed which puts us off, or that the craving for it never came at the right time.

Had the pasta with the famous Swedish meatballs. Nice and simple.

Suddenly had a flash of memory of the night when Brownie and i went to Ikea and ate the ice cream, and he said he like Ikea and the environment very much.

The Year of the Horse

Happy Chinese New Year!!

Like every year, i'd join my family to go visiting our relatives. But this year is extra special. Special in the sense that, it is going to be my last year of receiving Ang Pow! It is a very big deal, right? Imagine collecting Ang Pow all my life and then, next year onwards, will be the one giving them. Its going to feel soooo different when that happens, but now am just going treat it like its going to happen in a long long time and not going to think much about it. :)

Apart from that, today is extra different too. It is my first time following fiancé around visiting his relatives. Met so many of his relatives today, but not all of them because he has a lot of relatives. :DD

Here is a picture of today's collection.

Going to hit the sack now and get ready for round 2 tomorrow!

Post Mortem for 2013

So today is the first day of the new year. Happy New Year 2014!!

So year 2013 came and gone. Time for some reflection.

The highlights of 2013 are:

1. Took part in the Standard Chartered relay marathon of 42km with my friends from the EPPL group.

2. In July 2013, journeyed as a pilgrim of World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

3. Slept overnight on the street along Copacabana beach in the cold winter night of Brazil.

3. Visited Amsterdam for a few hours during our transit and toured around the city like a tourist.

4. Last but not least, on 16 of November 2013, Ww proposed, and i said 'Yes'. :)

It has been a wonderful year. It was exciting, adventurous and also challenging at certain times. The first six months of 2013 was mainly occupied by the WYD preparations, such as spiritual, mental and financial preparations. It felt like time passed by exceptionally quick last year.

The year 2014 will be no less exciting than 2013, for sure.

I'm getting married this year!

In terms of career, i'm starting at another department within the same division tomorrow onwards.

Fingers and heart crossed that 2014 is going to be an exciting ride!
