The Mesmerising Cheongsam

Its only 7 more months and we have got so much more to do before the Big Day. Guess its time to speed things up abit.

We both went looking for clothes for our pre-wedding photoshoot which is scheduled end of May. I bought a dress from Marry Merry warehouse sale over the weekend. I have another 2 more outfit to purchase. WW also started a hunt for his shoes and clothes.

I went looking for evening dress. Stopped by a bridal designer shop and tried on 3 of their gowns, one of which i like a lot. Its a cheongsam. I thought i would skip cheongsam as i wanted something more princess-like like ball gown dress, but after putting on the cheongsam, i think cheongsam looks better on me than a princess-like dress. Princess-like dress looks very weird on me somehow. Price wise, it cost more than what we paid for the photography and the white gown. Always thought that the evening gown would be cheaper than the white gown, and i wonder if its reasonable to get something so pricey for just 1 night and then it will just be kept in the cupboard for a long long time. At the most, it will be altered to a short dress which can be worn during Chinese New Year.

After that, we went to our appointment with a gown designer near by. We looked through some of the gowns designed for the previous clients, and then thought why not go for a cheongsam since i liked that so much. So the designer sketched a cheongsam similiar to the one i saw earlier, and it looks great! The quoted price is slightly cheaper than the one i tried on earlier. Its still more expensive than my white gown, though.

Should i go for it, or not? Its way beyond the budget which we have set, though.
